Inflate your dinosaur costumes and get ready to race! In Dashin’ Dinos, a reimagining of the Reiner Knizia classic Icarus, you’ll be racing inflatable dinosaurs at the fair, boasting about how far you can run and trying to outdo your opponents. Dashin’ Dinos is a bidding and press-your-luck game for 2-7 players that takes about 30 minutes to play. Bid enough that someone calls your bluff, or call someone else’s for a showdown! Everyone gets to bet on what they think the outcome will be, and when the results are revealed the most accurate guesses are rewarded. Be the fastest dino, but don’t trip on your own tail!

Dashin’ Dinos adds a racing board and a betting system to the original Icarus cards-based-liar’s-dice rules.

Game Features & Details

Every racer holds a hand of seven Dash Cards, one in each color. The Lead Player kicks off each round with a Boast: a color and a number, claiming that all players’ cards of that color add up to at least that much. Going around the table, each player must Out-Boast with a higher number, Pass by spending their Reinflate Token, or Challenge the last Boast. Need a better hand before you brag? Hydrate by swapping one of your cards for a fresh one from its deck. The Boasts climb higher and higher until someone finally calls it out.

Once a Boast is Challenged, the whole table gets in on it. Every player secretly bets on whether the Boast will hold up, and bolder bets pay out more if they’re right. Then all the cards of that color are revealed and totaled. Winning bets let your Dino Dash ahead down the Racetrack, while wrong guesses Crash and go nowhere. Along the way, Boost Spaces, Energy Drinks, and the Reinflation Station keep the race unpredictable, and the Last Gasp Bonus helps the Dino in last place catch up. The first Dino across the FINISH line is crowned King of the Blow-Up Tyrant Lizards!
